How To Tackle Artist's Block

So you've run out of ideas to draw. Or you're having an artist's s block.

It's an extremely common dilemma not only among beginner artists but among professionals too.
Every single artist would've gone through this frustrating ailment called artist's block. It may take hours, days or even weeks to overcome this obstacle. My artist's blocks, for instance, usually last up to 2 to 3 weeks.
Obviously, I'm not a professional, but I believe my tips might aid you in some way to tackle the artist's block.
Following are my advice for all those fellow artists out there.

1. KNOW THAT IT'S OKAY
It may sound cliche. But trust me, it's the first step you should take. Remind yourself that it's alright to be creatively stuck at some point. And that it's not permanent.

2 ASK YOURSELF WHY
I know, you might be thinking about how this might help. But it actually does.
Just ask yourself why in the first place did you start drawing?
You might have started it because it relieved your stress or it might have been your passion.
So don't stress it. It's your passion, not something you should stress and worry about.

3. TAKE YOUR TIME OFF
Take your time off of drawing. During the break try engaging yourself in other activities. ( knitting, gardening, writing)

4. RECREATE
I totally understand if none of the above tips helped you. If you have the urge to paint or draw something,  just recreate art.
Keep in mind that recreating does NOT mean stealing. You are free to recreate art. It is never stealing until you post it online without credit. So go recreate a few illustrations.

5. SKETCH SOMETHING FROM YOUR SURROUNDINGS.
Sketching things around you might benefit as well. Or just go outdoors and sketch something awesome.

6. EXPLORE OTHER MEDIUMS.
Try exploring the mediums that you don't try out often or have never used before. Step outside your comfort zone and try something new. It would fill your inspiration tank.

Remember, artist's block will not last forever. You have probably run out of your creative juices. Your creative tank can be refilled with some inspiration.
I truly hope that these 5 simple tips would help you get out of artist's block.
Stay creative!!
